Two sets of visuals created for the Wall Street Journal’s Future of Everything Conference, where each segment of the event was represented by an orb. My assigned themes were Technology and Culture.
For Technology, I aimed to capture both the mechanical and digital aspects of the field, with a touch of sci-fi. Several experimental visuals were created during the process that didn’t make the final cut, but they are included below for reference.
Year: 2019
Client: Wall Street Journal
Tools: Cinema 4D, Octane Render, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

The Culture orb presented a greater challenge, as it needed to encompass a wide range of fields—architecture, design, arts, smart cities, gaming, and gender. After several iterations, the client opted for a more abstract and colorful approach.
Digital connections, gaming, and smart cities are represented through a digital mesh and code, while parts of the orb incorporate a building façade and wood, adding natural texture and warmth. Soft, billowy, colorful smoke conveys the human aspect of these diverse themes, bringing life and energy to the composition.
